Error Code PO411
Hi
I'm new to this forum, I see there are alot of smart people here. My qyestion is that I have a 2001 VW Jetta VR6 The check engine light has come on had It scanned and the code was PO411 (Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow) on the DTC Pending (Codes)said ( No Faults Detected) the problem is when I clear it ,it goes for a week or so and comes back on.. In my State New hampshire if you have a Check Engine Light on during Inspection they fail you ifI erase code error before I go in will they detect anything through there Equipment I would really like to fix the propblem if any Thanks for any Help Steve |
RE: Error Code PO411
if you clear the code and you have it inspected before the light comes back on then they won't be able to detect it.
not sure what it is, MAF sensor, possible vacuum hose leak, not sure |
RE: Error Code PO411
its the secondary air injector.... had same problem.... My secondary air injection was unstuck..... or it could be one of ur hose getting clamped by something.......if u earse it and doesnt come back then ur fine if not u better fix it....

RE: Error Code PO411
probably a vacume line off of the deverter valve
and it will not pass a test if you clear it before you take it in it needs to go through a drive cycle before it gets ready status thats why it takes a few days to retriger the light |
you must drive 80to90 miles. after u turn the light off. to reprogram the ecm.
