EPC, ESP, and Break Lights (2003 Jetta GLX)

Today my EPC & ESP lights came one. Neither are blinking, they are solid. Also, my break lights won't work. The car shifts out of gear fine. Anyone have a clue as to what may be going on?

could be possible recall. i hate to recall my brake light sensor but i have a 00 gls
