Default Engine specification.

I have just bought a 2001 Jetta with the 2.3l V5 engine giving 125 kw (170 hp), but no one can find me an engineering drawing of the engine.
Locally even the dealer seems unsure if it uses a chain or belt to drive the camshaft, and I really want to be able to look at the detail. Does it have balance shafts? Slipper pistons? How many mains? Dry sump? Liners? Pressure lube or splash? (well okay, splash isn't likely) They don't know, or don't seem to want to talk.
Lovely car. If you are in the right gear with Tiptronic help, it can really fly. I'm hooked.
Can some technically aware genius tell me where to buy a workshop manual? Hard copy or CD. Thanks guys.
