I am looking at purchasing a new Jetta TDI sedan. Right now my choice is a 2010 in a color I don’t want or a 2009 in a color I do want. Right now I am leaning towards the 2009. I noticed the 2010 has different colored backlights for the instrument cluster and a different radio. Other than those two things are there any differences between the 2009 and 2010 Jetta TDI’s? Are there any mechanical, performance, or reliability differences? I notice the EPA gives the 2009 a slightly lower fuel economy rating which implies some type of mechanical change from 2009 to 2010. Anyone know what that change was?
