ok i just need something straightened out. theres the GL the GLS and the GLX, which is the fully loaded vw. GLS turned into the GLI in 2002 which was turbocharged. GLX remained the same non turbo VR6. is the GLI vr6? or did it stop at the GLS?

 

GLI is 1.8 T unless youre referring to the newest model which is the new 2.0T
