Cold Air Intake Problem
 
I just got my Cold Air in today and it seems that if i put it in that the pipe will be runninginto the battery and i dont think that can be right so any suggestions? Also i didnt realize that there are about 3 wire clips plugged into the stock intakes plastic pipe what do u do with them when u put the new metal one on and what are they?

If it's an MKIV you remove the battery and it will fit underneath it and you put the battery back in. And the plastic part of the intake stays.

Its a 2002 GLX Jetta VR6 2.8L

it shud fit just fine. i have the an 00 glx and the pipe shud go right around the battery. the other wires should stay. im guessing that you're talking about the maf sensor wires. leave all of that in and just attach the cai onto the maf sensor.

yea looking down at the battery, my cai goes around the right side & down in fron of the wheel. ill put a pic up asa i get one.
