code P2637 for 2005 VW Jetta GLI
 

Hi, I have a 2005 VW Jetta that is giving me trouble. Some days it starts up just fine, then it will go a week at a time where it will turn over but will not start. It is giving me a code of P2637. I have taken it to two mechanics, the car started everytime while it was there. I took it to the VW dealership and they wouldn't look at it because the check engine light was not on at the time... Has anyone had this problem, or do you have any suggestions on how to fix it???

I have also searched on the internet, seems everyone who has this code is having problems with the car shifting.. I do not have this problem..

Fault Location:
Torque management, feedback signal A - malfunction

Possible Cause:
Wiring.
Engine control module (ECM).
Transmission control module (TCM).
