Default checking tranny fluid

Does anybody know how to check the tranny fluid level in a 2000 jetta? I think I found a spout to fill fluid but there is no way that is how much fluid should be in there. I was looking around and was hearing something about a fluid level plug and that the fluid should just be dripping out of that like a regular standard trans. Any thoughts?

Default RE: checking tranny fluid

As I understand it, there is no tranny spout. It is sealed and was advertised as a maintenance-free transmission so only the service tech can check it, fill it, etc.
