car lost reverseWell, just had a cat conve4rter put in my 19

Well, just had a cat converter put in my 1999 Jetta last week (notice my previous post)and now car lost reverse yesterday. Anyone have any idea what this can be? Getting just a LITTLE discouraged. I should mention its manual shift.
