I would reccomend a K&N filter or another oil type filter. It stops water real well and I haven't had any problems with it getting dirty or wet yet.

i replced an engine on a vr 6 from a cai hydrolocked the pistons
was kind of neet pulling a head off and seeing the rist pins on the piston twisted the rods far enough you could see them withthe pistons wedged in sideways

i think he was haulin a$$ when he hit the water

I don't get how the water hydrolocks the motor. I mean the intakes should be built so that doesn't happen right? Almost every car I owned had one, if there wasn't one built for it, like my probe, I built one!..lol. Never had the problem of water getting in the motor. How does that even happen? Filter down too far, not installed right?

they make water bypass valves for CAIs if you want to be 100% safe but, if you have a tight fit you probably won't be able to get one in there.
