Brake pads

I think I may have asked this before...but I found a pair of cross drilled/slotted rotors I want off Performance-Cafe....Now I just need to know which brake pads I have to use. I know stock ones aren't gonna cut it, so I need to know before I buy these rotors which pads to use. Thanx

RE: Brake pads

I bought some cross drilled & slotted rotors a little while ago and the 2 month old ceramic wagner brake pads do the job perfect. My buddy upgraded his pads with CD/S rotors and he was proud they were performance but couldn't admit to a huge difference. It's more so a case of personal preference if you like to notice the littles things. stocks do fine.

so you can use stock pads with cross drilled and slotted rotors??? I was told that you couldn't, you have to use a certain pad with the brakes. I was thinking of Brembo brakes....but I'm still shopping.

Is there a certain type pad, or name brand pad I should be using??

Go with semi metallic pads. I'm just using my ceramics untill they wear. The semi metallic pads will wear faster then ceramics but they will prolong your rotor life. They're just softer on your rotor but basically same feel.

Wilwood, KVR or Brembo are good. They all have the carbon fibre pads too. I'm pretty sure the brembo kits have the pads in them, have you looked into the larger sized kits that cover more of your rotors surface area????

ah no. I just looked at what would fit my car and are going with them. I think it's like 11.3 the size, I looked at big brake kits, but I dunno how much better it would, I don't always race, so going overboard like that on a street car isn't practical for me. I've looked at different options but would also like the opinions.

I hear ya on big brake kits. Brembo hasgood replacement kits. Ifsome don't come with padslook up KVR brand semi metallics. That'd be my opinion.
