Bluetooth on RCD310
Hi all,
About a month ago I bought a pre-owned 2011 Jetta Trendline+ (as it's called in Canada). It's not the base model but just above that, still the small 2.0L engine though. It has the RCD310 stereo system and has an option in settings to turn Bluetooth off/on. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to do anything. I took it to the local VW dealership and asked about it. Oddly, they didn't know what to do and said that maybe it's a default in the stereo's menu even if it isn't equipped with Bluetooth. We tried turning on the car and turning on Bluetooth, searching for the signal with my iPhone but nothing was appearing. I've tried on numerous occasions just to be sure. Does anyone know if this is just a stereo default even if the car isn't equipped with Bluetooth? Kind've surprised if so. Also, if it isn't equipped with Bluetooth, is there a way to have it installed? Who would do this and for about how much? I'm not that interested in using it for making calls but more so to wirelessly play music and have the track names and all show up in the display. Thanks for any help! Aaron |
