Battery life
On our 2006 Jetta diesel, manual tranny, my wife likes to coast at every opportunity she can.
Does this cause the battery to lose its charge?
We have experienced a low battery several times.

Coasting doesn't really affect the charge rate for how often you do it. Coasting is illegal in the UK.
