AWD/4WD is it possibble or have been done

I really would love the idea od a diesel AWD/4wd car. It's a shame no one has made one? I am interested in a 86 turbo diesel jetta, but I am wondering if I can do an AWD conversion. I've also be thinking about a subaru or converting my tercel to AWD. info would be great!

There are a few people that have done conversions to the MK4 variant of the Jetta. Depends on how you wanna go about doing it. If you have a 1.8T then you can get the transmission from a Audi 225 TT and take the drive train and rear axels from an R32 along with the trunk tub of the R32 and you can convert your Jetta. However, takes much time, patience and money. I am thinkin hard about doing it.
