I am begining to consider the possibility of buying another vehicle and parting off my Jetta to make back some of the money. It just wouldnt be worth it to try to replace my tranny (a CLK which is slipping badly), as it would likely cost me more than i paid for the car originally. I paid $3000 for it about 6 years ago, and have gotten about 70K miles. i think ive gotten my money's worth.

After buying another vehicle, I will probably take some time to dig a bit deeper into whether or not the tranny can be saved, but if not, I was wondering what would be the most valuable parts to strip and sell. I dont want to be spending time and effort on pulling parts that I won't be able to sell for much, if at all.
