95 Jetta temp gauge
 

Hello, i have a 95 Jetta. I have had it for 5 years now, it has 155k miles. The temperature gauge just recently started to act strange.The temperature needle will slowly drop below the place where it always has been. Sometimes it will drop and settle in the lower temp and sometimes it will slowly come back up. Wondering if anyone has any idea why this happens, i have no coolant leaks, and coolant level is always good.

I also have power steering problem when it rains. Sometimes when turning onto a road it feels like steering wheel locks up and then usually quickly comes back to life. Rarely happens and it is obviously rain related, just wondering if anyone has any ideas.
