i have a 1996 5 speed jetta gls. I am new to volkswagens so i am hoping this is an easy fix. When i start my car, it idles fine. But after driving it and then stoping at a stop sign, light etc. It starts to putt and then eventually stalls. The only way to keep it from stalling is by giving it gas, but that gets annoying. It starts right back up after it stalls though. Any ideas on what to do to fix it?

My rpms are also not working. can that be a fuse or a wiring problem?
