2012 rear drum problem. Plz help
 

So I have the honor of repairing my gfs 2012 jetta se 2.5. The problem started randomly when she lost all brake pressure on friday. On inspection the wheel cylinder was leaking. The first thing I did was install new wheel cylinders. This didnt fix the problem. So I installed new drums. Still nothing, Every single time I install the brake cylinders and pump the brakes the piston pushes its way out of the cylinder. I have the adjustment rod all the way up. When I installed the brake cylinder I didnt have the shoes off. I was simply able to removed the brake line, remove one bolt and it comes right out. Am I missing something?

Have you changed the brake master cylinder and bleed the brakes with a pressure bleeder.

Sry guys, I was in a rush and needed to get my girls car fixed and my shop is an hour away. What happened- while she was driving the rear left brake cylinder began to leak and she lots all fuel pressure and allowed the rear shoe to become dislodged from the pivot point at the bottom. The left side wasnt seated properly and allowed the cylinder to pop out when applied pressure. It is all fixed. Im gunna be honest when i say VW cars make me wanna pull my hair out. Oh i forgot to mention that the hood release cable snapped so i was unable to open the hood i had to rip out the grill and remove the 3 bolts to get the hood off. Does vw use wheel bolts instead of studs on all of there cars. I hate that!

If you have replaced the wheel cylinder's properly they won't leak. A leaking brake cylinder won't affect the fuel pressure.

Its easier to a breakers for wheel bolts as a dealer only sells a full kit with locking bolts which aren't cheap.
