Default 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Issue

I turn the ignition, the car turns on and revs for about a second and immediately turns off. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

It sounds like the immobilizer is enabled and the light should be on in the dash. It will only run for 1 second each time you start it.

What have you been doing to it?

There isn't much you can do with a 2010 Passat as its a dealer fix only. You could try and disconnect both battery leads and hold them together to discharge any capacitors in the system. Make sure the battery is charged up, reconnect the battery leads and try it again.

Hey sorry I messed up it's actually a Jetta... wow lol. But does that make a difference as to how I can try to solve the problem? It's still 2010

No 2010 models have immo 5 so you still need to have a dealer fix the problem if the immobilizer lamp is flashing on the dash.
