2009 Jetta
Hi, looking for some help.
My Mom has a 3009 Jetta, and recently it started running rough. It's "shaky". At a stop it's not as bad if you put it in Neutral. Also runs smoother with more gas. With the cars I've owned I'd start with plugs, wires, cap, and in the old days, condenser and rotor. I don't know this motor, or make, but I'm thinking it probably doesn't even have a distributor, but at least 1 electronic control block. The engine light is on, sometimes blinking but always on. The EPC light has come on a couple times, when it's running at its worst, but doesn't stay on long. So, I'm looking for someone who knows what this all means. The codes are P0300..Multiple cyl misfire P0304..cyl 4 misfire P0302..cyl 2 misfire P0301..cyl 1 misfire If it's plugs and/or wires I don't get why it would run fairly well sometimes. Bad plugs are bad plugs, they don't feel better some days than others. Any suggestions on this? Thanks |
First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!
Don't think that making an intro will fix this comment as you've already ask the question. EOBD II Fault Codes Software |
I wasn't allowed to post this first, your site says I wasn't allowed to do anything other than post an intro in that section.
So that's what I did. Then I came and posted my question. If you don't want me here, that's fine. But don't make it out to be for me not following rules, I followed the rules for this site. Want to show me in the registration procedure where it says I have to post in any particular order of forums? I'd really like to see that. This really the reputation you want for this site, that you're nasty to new members? Then throw me out. R Evans |
