I just bought a 2008 Jetta SE automatic. VW's web site and the owners manual state that the vehicle has three power outlets (SAE size). Two in the front and one in the trunk. I can only find one in the front. Where is the other power outlet in the front?

I didn't VW made a Jetta SE...usually it's GL, GLS, GLX...or something like that. Anyways, it might be under the dash, passenger side?

haven't seen the 2008s but in 2006 (same body style) there is one in the change tray in front of the shifter, one behind the cup holders, and then the third in the trunk

 

For some unknown reason, I've seen a few of the 08 and 09 Jetta and Rabbits come out without the power outlet near the e-brake. Just my two cents. Probably another cost-cutting measure like deleting the upper center air vent and doing away with "soft-touch" surfaces that all the 05.5-07's had.

I have an 09 Jetta and I have only 2 power ports. One in the tray in front of the shifter and one in the trunk on the right side of the trunk in side of the storage bin area, just inside on the right.
