2006 Jetta 2.0T Coolant Leak - Trying to Find(Pics included)
2006 Jetta 2.0T, 73K Miles, has developed a small coolant leak that pools up on top of the intake manifold just below the big roundish silver camshaft end cover thing(not sure what it's called). Of course, this smells bad as soon as the car warms up just a little bit. The leak is definitely coming out around the general area where all the coolant hoses meet up to the plastic piece attached to the motor. I cannot tell if one of the hoses is leaking, or one of the "T"-connectors is leaking or the actual big plastic piece attached to the motor is leaking.
Is this a common issue? Is there a place that usually leaks ? I've attached a couple pics. 1st is the area of the engine where we removed the 2 hose assemblies from the firewall to the plastic piece attached to the motor. 2nd pic is of the 2 heater hose assemblies with their T-connectors. http://www.rpmmotorsportstulsa.com/Gregs/JettaLeak1.jpg http://www.rpmmotorsportstulsa.com/Gregs/JettaLeak2.jpg |
Got the black plastic piece off the motor. This is the piece that all the hoses connect to(Pic attached). After all this, I still don't see where the leak is coming from. It has to be from one of these pieces. Any ideas ?

And here's the back side of the plastic piece that I'll call the "water distribution housing". This is the side that bolts up to the motor. Any chance of it leaking there ?
