2004 Jetta 2.0 dies while driving but starts up again fine

Greetings,
Ive spent a bit of time on this.
During normal commuter in town errand running, car will suddenly loose power. As if spark or fuel is totally turned off. Its an automatic so it jerks and sputters as it slowly coasts to a stop. Turn off the key, normal stop/park procedure. A minute later, starts up fine on the first or second try drive away fine....for maybe a few hours or a day or two.
I have recently: replaced coolant temp sensor (was causing temp related CEL)
Then replaced thermostat (stuck open and was not getting hot. Possibly the true cause of the CELs before)
Replaced fuel pump to resolve occasional "crank but no start" issue No "hum" of FP when key turns on (lifting back seat and pounding on top of fuel tank would get it to start) Successful fix for this.
The "dies when driving" issue I then suspected the Crank Position Sensor. Seemed like a slam dunk esp since it was happening more often after the Tstat was replaced and the engine would run at correct temp (some documentation suggests failing CPS is partly temp related)
SO I replaced the CPS. Pretty easy and it fixed it...for a week. I have not put a ohm meter on the failed CPS to check for specs yet.
Now it does the mystery dies when driving again. 4 times yesterday.
No CELs but have not scanned it yet.
Bizzare I running out of internet/youtube level 1 fixes for this.
I know there are other threads out there with this similar issue but this is getting deeper with this problem.
Anyone with suggestions or additional diagnostic questions?

Welcome to the forum. Attachment 2380

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.

On my 1999 Jetta 2.0L I was having stalling problems. Be driving and it would stall right in the middle of the road. Scan with my VAG-COM and receive 10 codes from it. Code 01115 sporadic, code 16708 Engine Speed Sensor No signal sporadic, code 17633 Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30) short to ground sporadic, code 17634 Fuel Injector for cylinder 2 (N31) short to ground sporadic, code 17635 Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3 (N32) short to ground sporadic, code 17636 for cylinder 4 (N33) short to ground sporadic, code 17859 secondary air injection system short to ground sporadic, code 17829 secondary air injection solenoid valve (N112) short to ground sporadic, code 17833 Evap purge valve (N80) short to ground sporadic, code 17880 Evap leak detection pump short to ground sporadic. I ended up replacing the Fuel Pump Relay last month and cleared the codes. Replaced the Crank position sensor. Them two can cause your vehicle to stall while driving. Haven't had any more problems with my vehicle stalling,
