2004 1.8Turbo 5 speed manual Jetta won't engage when put into gear.
 

So it started out fine until someone else drove my car. Now when I put it in reverse, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th nothing happens. Acts as if it's still in neutral. Before it got this bad it started out as I'd be driving let's say I'd be in 1st I'd go to put her in 2nd it'd stay in first gear, even when I try 3rd if 2nd wasn't engaging and still would stay in 1st. if anyone else has had this problem please I'm all ears.
