2003 Jetta T1.8 engine light on???
I just bought a 2003 Jetta T1.8 and after driving for a while today I started the car back up and the engine light / image lit up and stays that way. The car is driving fine, not overheating and I"m not aware of any other change in performance. Any ideas why this could be on? I don't have an owners manual to check it out-

Theres a million reasons it could be on...something as simple as a gas cap not being tightened on. Get it scanned somewhere and pull the codes.

RE: 2003 Jetta T1.8 engine light on???
Thanks for getting back to me bro-
I was not familiar with being able to have someone scan the code / computer until I read some posts on the forum- sounds cool. Any suggestion of a place in particular? any auto parts store? AutoZone ? |

Well idealy get it VAG COM Scanned (a specific device used to scan Volkswagen's for error codes MIL codes etc.) but a scan from autozone or a similar place will be better than nothing

Had my car scanned- they said it was a System 2 lein which supposedly has to do with the fuel pump or fuel injection? I can't feel any performance changes- any suggestions?
