2001 Jetta V6 - Headlights Beep issue
2001 VW Jetta V6 GLX
Currently at 70K Miles I am having an issue with the 'headlights on' Alarm in my car. you know when you have your headslights on and you trun the engine of your car and try to get out, the jetta gives you one continious loud beep, reminding you to turn the headlights off right? lately, that beep alarm is not working. and I have a lousy habit of forgetting to run off the lights before leaving the car. the major problem happens the next morning when i turn the car on and since there is no beeping alarm, i don't realzie that my headlights are on. I drove the car for 2 hrs this mroning before realizing that the 'headlights on' Alarm no longer works any idea what could be causing this? is there something i can check/fix or do i need to take the car into the shop? thanks for the help folks p.s. I am not the most mechanically inclined person out there |

My guess would be a malfunction in the light switch or the instrument panel.Hopefully it's not the instrument panel , that's an expensive fix. Any better ideas guys?

About 4-$500 and then you have to take it to the dealer for them to program it at $90 an hour.
