2001 Jetta Transmission or VSS trouble

I have a 2001 Jetta with a 2.0 and automatic transmission. I started having transmission problems so I took it to a transmission shop. They told me that it looked like my TCM had gone out and continuing to drive it, burnt up my transmission. I replaced both the TCM and transmission with parts from a salvage yard. It ran like it was brand new for a couple days. My check engine light came back on and it wouldn't shift.

I took it to a different shop that only works on VW's and Audi's. They said they checked my codes and they got Oxy sensor (internal resistance too high) and Vehicle Speed Sensor (G68) (No Signal) codes.

They reset erased my fault codes in my ECM and TCM and reset my readiness codes. Again the car ran like it was brand new for about 6 hours with no check engine light.

Well the light is back on and it's not shifting again. I havn't got it back to the shop to have the codes checked again.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? The shop said that if the code for the VSS came back, then that is probably my problem. Does this sound likely? I'm also prettty sure my speedometer still works. Thanks for any help!

Anyone can reset error codes the trick is to fix them first so they don't come back. If you don't fix them then there is a 95% chance of them coming back.

Do you know the error numbers that showed up?
