2001 jetta check engine light-cylinder misfire code

Had my jetta for about 6 months now,has always ran fine.Today I drove to work, went to lunch and it drove like normal. After work she fell on her face when I PULLED OUT ON TO THE HIGHWAY.The engine check light came on and she was underpowered and accelerating rough.I went straight to Autozone and had them check the codes:cylinder misfiring...................bad gas, plugs,????I put some heet gas dryer in and some more fuel, plus some fuel inj. cleaner. If this does not help, plugs next?Or what next?Only jetta I ever had so help.It is the 1.8 turbo gas.

Probably something in the ignition. Start with the easy solution the spark plugs and let me know if that doesn't work.

What is recommended?NGK Platinum

If you want the longest lasting get Bosch irridium +4's (pricey). For performance get Bosch platinum +4's (I have those in my car).

What about an NGK iridium plug?

If you want to put Japanese plugs in your German car go for it. They should do fine.
