Lightbulb 2000 Jetta Tail Lights

Hi everyone.

I have a 2000 Jetta GLS and I smashed out one of the tail lights and need to replace it. I was looking at different options but nobody can give me an answer to these two questions, not even the dealer.

1) I like the 2004 style tail lights with the clear plastic as opposed to the yellow, if I were to get a set of those, would it be just a matter of putting in the new lens or do I have to actually change the part that holds the bulbs?

2) I also like the euro style tail lights. How much re-wiring is involved and what parts would I need to install those?

Thanks for the help!

You have to get the hole tail light. Any good tail lights will be plug-and-play.
