2000 jetta gls

glove box handle was foolishly ripped off by some idiot, and now that idiot can't get what was in his glove box.

i tried the two levers on the left and right, and they did nothing. might have broken them too while trying, god knows everything else i touch breaks too.

How do i get it open without breaking stuff? i just want everything out of it and i will just close it again.
