1998 Jetta; replacing brake pads

I drive a 1998 VW jetta, and I am trying to replace my brake pads. I have replaced brake pads before on my 2004 toyota tundra, so i am familiar with the process.

however here is my question...

typically on a 1998 Jetta GT, do the brake assembly have the easy release pins for the brake pads, that i have seen on more recent cars, like my tundra?

these release pins make the break pads easy to replace without having to remove many other parts

also...

is there any other specific info regarding this make and model that i should know before i attempt to replace my brake pads.

There aren't any pins they have prongs I guess I would call them. They are as easy or maybe easier. And it is strait forward you'll have no problem.
