New guy with codes
Hello everyone new to forums and vw jetta 1998 with trouble codes 00750-031 16487-035 17988-035 I have figured out what they are accept the 00750 one I think it's failed ecm but not sure which one anyway any help would be appreciated I got the motor ecm on the way from junk yard I'm pretty sure that's the brain for car I'm a good part replacer been doing engine swaps for 20 years Honda Chevy Toyota but I'm nut much of mechanic as far diagnosis of new problems OK with things I have done before but with new cars I'm just starting,with my code reading and where to go to get info I have been having a hard time finding a place to bounce ideas on fixes I'm hoping this is the spot but this is are car were going to have for a few years so hopefully this is a start to a good relationship thanks G

That's a lot of error codes.Fault Location:
Warning Lamp - Electrical Fault in Circuit/Open Circuit/Short Circuit to Earth Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Fuse(s).
Wiring/Connector(s) from/to Instrument Cluster (J285) faulty.
Warning Lamp burned out/faulty.
Instrument Cluster (J285) faulty.
Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory.
Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace Fuse(s).
Check Wiring and/or Connector(s) from/to Instrument Cluster (J285).
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
Check/Replace Warning Lamp.
Check/Replace Instrument Cluster (J285). As taken from my new EOBD II Fault Codes Software
