Default '07 strut bearings pop

UPDATING FROM PREVIOUS THREAD:
On my '07 Jetta, Ive also read this happening to the Golf and GTI especially, I have been hearing a popping from the front right wheel well when i put car in reverse and when roll forward it pops again. Sometimes it pops on left hand turns and when accelarate from a stop. This has progressively gotten worse but usually gets worse the more the car is driven throughout the day. I brought it to the dealer and OF COURSE they drove around and heard nothing. Go figure. Although it does NOT happen ALL THE TIME. It can be very random. Ive read quite a few things online about the strut bearings popping. Was told by the dealer that my car does not have a strut MOUNT, but its a bushing surrounded by bearings. . .
Has anyone else had this problem?? How bad does it have to get to be replaced?? Has there been a TSB??

It's not your strut, it's your outer cv joint. If it were your strut it would be thumping over bumps.
