I searched the forums before posting this but did not find anything so I hope I'm not posting something that has already been solved.

We have a '06 Jetta TDIdiesel 5 spd with about 33K miles that once it warms up it has a rough idle.This started this last winter and we thought it had something to do with the cold winter we had as it only seemed to happen on the really cold days. We took it in and they found a vacuum leak that they fixed. But now its doing it again and today it was 74 out. Today it started after about 5 minutes and I never got above 3rd gear. Its happening more and more frequently.

The steering wheel pulses and the only way to get it to stop is to increase the RPM's. Once you get into gear it drives fine.It doesn't feel like its going to die. We replaced the fuel filter about 6000 miles ago and noticed an increase in pick up but it didn't fix the idle problem.

Its still under warrenty so it will go to the dealer for this issue but I don't want them to come back and say nothing is wrong as they have done in the past.

Any ideas?
