02' Jetta Wagon Driver door
 

Howdy,
When I open the driver door on my 02 Jetta wagon the interior lights do not come on anymore, neither does the light at the bottom of the drivers side door. When any other door is opened the interior lights come on like normal. Don't see anything obviously wrong and all was just fine up until 2 weeeks ago.. Suggestions?

No one has any ideas for this problem? With the jetta wagon interior lights?

It must be a sensor on the door latch mechinism.
