Volkswagen Golf GTI MK5 A/C
Hi all,
I currently drive a Volkswagen Golf GTI MK5 and the A/C is not working, no cold air is been blowing out. I have checked all the vents and they are all working, currently blowing out hot air etc. I checked the compression unit and it is full with the gas for the A/C as i thought this might be empty but it appears not. I have read a bit online and it looks like it might be the compressor itself which will cost a small fortune itself. All the A/C lights working and light up. Is there anything else that it might be or that i can check?
thanks all.

I have the same problem as you.
Make sure that the correct amount of gas is in the system. There will be label showing the weight of gas.
Also check / replace Pollen Filter.
Do your fans run when calling for Cooling?. Large Fan for Coolant & Small Fan for AirCon?
Have You a VCDS or VagCOM to check for error codes? (This is your next step).
(What make of Compressor have you. (Sanden are the ones recommended) if it faulty Do Not buy
second hand of ebay etc.
When replacing Compressor best done by specialist
