Towing Success?

Towing Success?
So my wife and I are thinking about getting a small camping trailer to tow being our car. It's called a T@B (http://www.tab-rv.com/index.php) and it's supposed to require a towing capacity of 2000lbs. The owner's manual on my '01 TDI is strangely mysterios about towing capacity. Says things like "Not designed to tow", then gives helpful hints.
There's folks on the T@B forum who say they use Jettas, but they are all pretty high on these things. I'd rather hear from the VW crowd. Anyone out there have any success towing these, or anything else? Am I crazy thinking I can tow anything with a 90 hp car?
Any comments or advise, greatly appreciated,

RE: Towing Success? Capacity
[sm=jawdrop.gif] The wife and I bought two 2000 Jetta's. Mine was a TDI. I had a hitch installed on mine, even though the book stated the gas engine had more towing capacity. Glad i did it that way. The TDI towed like a dream! I had a small utility trailer (4x8) and I built 3 foot tall sides on it. I would load that thing with all sorts of stuff. Cord of fire wood, topsoil, etc. Diesels tow fantastic. Why do you think that all semi's are turbo diesels? I don't know what a T@b trailer is, but put a hitch on that TDI, you won't reget it.
