hi could you help? i,ve got a golf gt tdi my steering shakes when i brake could this be caused by a joint thats gone or perhaps the strut or even still could it be the track rod end please help

the first thing i would do is get new rotors or cut them if you have the equipment to do so. the rotors have probably begin to warp.

yeah, i'd definetly say its most likely warped brake rotors, they get warped from getting hot from braking and driving through puddles which cools them too fast, or also from un-even brake caliper pressure

I agree that you have to replace your brake rotors, because when I had the same problem like yours and brought my car to my dealer... They told me that I have a distorted VW rotors. So, they made some replacements and it was fix immediately... I was thankful that the change part is still under warranty for I know that it could cost me some bucks... Goodluck!!!
