does anyone know if anyone makes side exit exhaust for the 05 1.8t. i've seen it done on srt-4's and i really liked it.

 

i have never seen any done for the gti, but i m sure you can get one done if you want to customize.
just make sure you find out if your state allows side exhaust. i know ct doesn't, one of my buddies drives a ram and he got a ticket bcuz of it. the only time you can have it is if the side exhaust is stock.

You can have it done. Get a side mount universal muffler and go to a muffler shop and have them fit it to your car. I can garantee you though that it is illegal, and even if it is not in your state, you'll get pulled over. But then again, you're a car enthusiast. Laws shouldnt stop you. Hahahahaha. And if you happen to install side mount exhaust, please please post many pictures.

 

ive seen it on a GTI, there is a body kit that has it like this. i've talked to a guy that has it and said its a PITA, he always gets pulled over and it scrapes everywhere.
