Recommended maintenance
 

So I am new to the GTI world. Bought a used '08 with, at the time, 36K on it. I currently have 48k and I am curious as to what I am expected to replace around this time. I had my check engine light come on recently but I thought it was due to the oil needing to be changed. Changed the oil, full synth, and it went away up until last night. I'll be heading to the local auto parts store today after work to get the error code checked out. Any thoughts?

did you hear a tool called VAS 5054A?
