Default new clutch install

Over the past month or so. the factory clutch in my 2003 gti has shown its inability to withstand the torque that my right foot likes to deliver and it is time for an upgrade. I have purchesed a stage 1 uprade kit from ECS Tuning and am planing to install it myself, of course with the help of some buddies. I have a good deal of automotive experience with replacing components on linear powertrains, but very little hands on experience with transverse units. I bought the Bentley publishings full repair manual, but i am wondering if this job would be better suited to professionals. I do have the advantage of my neighbor having a lift. and i have a full set of air tools and equipment, is this task over my head or is it relatively painless given patience, any insight would be appreciated.
