mk2 problems...
 

so im new to Volkswagen.. and new to diesels..i stumbled across a garage kept red 92 mk2 Jetta, N/A diesel.78k original miles. cranked up just fine with yr. and a half old diesel in it. ran through that tank with oinly one issue, one of the injector lines had a hole, so shortened it up, all is great. this morning I get up crank it and get nothing, it turns over but wont fire. pulled a line of the injector, and no fuel when cranking. now I have figured out there's 2 parts to the fuel delivery. an in tank pump. and the injector pump. I cant hear a hum coming from the trunk/ underside area. im also having tons of trouble to just locate the part, according to my local vw dealership they are obsolete. so im kind of stuck.. does anyone here know where to point me in fixing this. I don't want to throw money away just replacing stuff.
