Manual boost control are they still worth it
 
Are boost crontrol still worth it I have oil pan leak it’s small doesn’t leak a lot of oil if I put a boots control will my engine blow up it’s Vw gti 1.8t 2000 ?

I can't really tell you as I have no experience with these boost control, Google.

On oil leak will be another item you need to investigate.

I wouldn't put a manual boost control on a newer turbo car. The boost should be controlled by the ECU's map. In the old days we used to cause damage to turbocharged engines, by messing with manual boost controllers trying to squeeze maximum boost out of turbochargers, without adjusting the fuel. Get an ECU tune instead. Then you won't hole a piston.
