RE: lowering my 03 gti help
In my opinion if you are lowering your car to the point where you'll have to replace anything, you've gone too far.

Yo, Sway bar got nothing to do with you lowering your car anyways. It wont get in the way. Why would you say that? open link for info

RE: lowering my 03 gti help
No he's right it will in these cars. after ~1.4 inches of drop the front sway bar has to be changed or is will rub the driveshaft. Thats what the warnings and all on the drop kits indicate. If youre going that low youre gonna want to go with a cup kit or coilovers. my understanding is that if youre doing a minor drop, you can just change springs but once you get upwards at the 2 inch mark and lower youll wanna change it all.
check out vwrd01's gallery, he has a drop on his. good luck |

RE: lowering my 03 gti help
my car is pretty low. i can't make tight turns or my tires rub the wheel wells. i have grooves in my tires from the previous owner. i bought my car the way it is. it was my best friends car, he did all the work.
