Lowering a 2002 GTI

Is there any way to lower a 2002 GTI without getting new hardware?

ORIGINAL: SwedishGP

Cutting the coil springs down a bit, but it isnt recommended due to harsh ride quality. Youve been warned, buy some good quality springs.
X2, you will regret cutting the springs. Good aftermarket springs aren't too expensive. Just save up and get some good springs.

Ok thanks. I was just curious because I know on the new Vettes there is a nut that you can adjust to lower the car a bit.
