looking for a short shifter

I'm in the market for a short shifter, but I can't seem to find any! I guess I'm doing it wrong LOL

my car is a 97 gti vr6

other questions i have...
what's a good brand?
what are bushings?
what do they do?
is poly urethane better than rubber?
