Leaky Injector Pump: 96 Passat TDI
 

Hi,

I have a 96 Passat TDI. It has developed a diesel leak at the gasket of the injector pump, dripping more or less based on outside tempurature. My mechanic suggested sending it to a shop that rebuilds pumps, but when asked, they said they would not work on TDI pumps.

Only option now is to buy a factory rebuit from the VW dealer in Halifax for CA$1200 (about $1000 US). Any other options?
