what do you guys know about the giac solderless chip? i've heard that its the best thing on the market right now for the mk4. i have the 1.8t and want a decent increase in power. every where i've read it has said that the chip will give 35-50 horses and 50 ft lbs of torque for 500 bucks. that sounds like a pretty good deal to me. and plus i love the solderless part. makes it so much easier. let me know what you guys think about it.

I have a GIAC chip, it does produce that much of an increase, and it's great. It improves everything on the car, and can really see a difference.

 

It's also nice because instead of having to replace your stock chip they just flash the software on and you're good to go.

when i went down to have mine i was bone stock around leaving i was like an all new car once i got home and installed the intake i really woke my GTI up its worth every penny

 

but make sure you get the second flash so you can put it back to stock those little Ko3 cant really take all that boost after a year my ko3 blew on me

oh alright. you can tell i'm new to the whole turbo scene. lol. i read they have a thing where you have free flash upgrades for life if you buy the chip. is that true?
