Getting a 01' GTI 1.8t
 

I'm new to VW. Im a proud owner of an accord Turbo (which I builtmyself), and a Mini cooper (which I wanna get rid of so I can buy a GTI).
So there's this Guys, VW mechanic, who wants to buy an Auti TT and wants to sell his 01'GTI turbo to me. The car is very clean (as in nice engine, not beaten up from what I can tell). It was his "baby" so he wasn't hard on it. It has an upgraded turbine, from 03 or 04 (can't remember, it's the one that gives u 180hp @ stock 7psi). Its set @ 25psi (just so I could try it out) and runs very smoothly. He's selling it for 9k (I live in PR now and cars are more expensive here). might get it cheaper. Is it a good car? what kind of problems does itusually have?

and along with the coolant temp sensor sucking the little plastic retaing clip for it is super easy to break. I broke mine a week after i owned my car and kinda freaked out till i found that the metal retaing clips for the fuel pressure regulator off an mk3 are a great replacement.
