sept 07 new turbo and HD control deck unit

June 08 New turbo

Nov 08 65 k miles - Needs a new turbo !!

5000 miles over the warranty and i'm looking at a 3 k repair bill from VW,!!!

sell it to me. or look into getting a turbo thats not from the stealership.

 

they make us replace the oil feed line every time we get one frome them

 

My turbo went just before xmas. i have had the car for 6 months and it is a 2005 model 1.9 golf dti. went round the corner, and she went bang, has completely blown the turbo with bits in the exhaust manifold, so i have been told.i have just been on the government recall site and the are recalling all 1.9dti for possible diesel fuel leak to do with the fuel pump?someonewas sayingsomething about getting fuel lines replaced at the same time as their turbo, dont know whether this has something to do with the turbo problem or it may just have been done because of the recall. Must apologiseam no grease monkey so i dont know if this helps or makes any sense.
Would like to hear from others who are having problems, and if anyone hs any suggestions as to were i can buy a new turbo.
